unit 7B task 5
Permissions needed to use photographs in a print product?
if you want to use an image that has been taken you it is very important that you have permission to be able to use the photo in a print production. You can use something called a model releases meaning you have permission from the person who owns the photo to be able to use the image. Model releases are very much needed certainly when an image which is known to a person of any age is used in advertising. Even if anything is cut out for example the face but the person is still indentified then a model release is needed. if a photograph is taken to be edited, but is model releases, then is used for an advert the model should get a further fee from the image taken that has been used and is not originally their image.

magazine
In my magazine I have used bright colours to catch the audience attention and to show who the target audience is which would be teenage and female, it also looks more professional, the person in the image is looking exactly into the camera which is showing that the magazine is feminine and is a shot of her whole body as that is showing what she is wearing because it is a fashion magazine. i used a light image so that i could use brighter colours like reds golds and blacks to stand out of what is inside the magazine, i put the title in capital letters and in black font to make it stand out and show the readers what the magazine is called as soon as they look at it.
i used a white background so that the main model and the writing will stand out, the magazine looks more professional because i followed some techniques that some famous magazine were using to make their magazine look better.
i did my magazine in colours and not in black and white too make it look less dull and show more ideas.

All of these magazines are similar because of the colour contrast they have used in the magazines, the main reason why they are similar is because of how the front page is set up, for example all of the model images are medium close ups but there is only one difference where one of the models is a long shot, there are similar titles on all of the magzines, this is because the creative director has used big, bold and dark coloured fonts including black, red, purple and dark pinks. Overall all of these magazines are similar because they are all fashion magazines so they would be using bright colours and usually having models on the front cover. These magazines are representing the feminine target audience, the colours used are mainly pinks or purples which straight away shows that it is a women's magazine, the way the main models are looking straight into the audience eyes is very feminine and the way they have set out the magazine.
these font ideas would be suitable for my magazine title because the font is meant to attract the female teenage audience and this font will do that because it is has a curly style, and has patterns on the last font, these fonts are more for girls than boys which is the main reason why I chose them because my magazine is for the girl teenage audience and is a fashion magazine, also these fonts will make the magazine stand out which will make people want to buy the magazine, these fonts are relevent to the magazine because fashion is always standing out and so do these fonts.
