18b company/brand
i am going to design a perfume advert for 20-35 age group and female target audience, i am aiming to make to perfume very feminine by using a variety or pinks and purples in my advert, to make it more obvious that it is a women's perfume i will use diamonds and glitter on my perfume bottle, the perfume is called midnight passion, i would like to use gucci as its brand name, i have chose this because people would recognize it and would make them more tempted to by it, it also goes well with the perfume advert as most gucci perfumes have the same kind of colours.

unit 1 task 4
to answer my quiestions-
most popular game consul
most popular game
most popular radio use
most popular radio station
last film people watched
most popular network site
to collect my data I put i gave everyone a sheet to fill in, i done this by writing out the quiestion and having a box underneath for them to tick, this kind of data is quantitative data. for any different quiestions i gave them a question and room to answer it underneath.
I got my answers, and was given a questionnaire which was anlready filled in from Mr Raymound. My class filled out the questionnaire and then got mine by the class sharing out theirs.
i then put my answers onto an excel spreadsheet and put each question and a multiple choice answers underneath. for everyone is the class's questionnaire I put in the data by using a '/' for a yes/tick and wrote the questions in the higher columns.
i then sorted out the data, this made it easier to count up but the qualitative data was still longer.
unit 7B task 5
Permissions needed to use photographs in a print product?
if you want to use an image that has been taken you it is very important that you have permission to be able to use the photo in a print production. You can use something called a model releases meaning you have permission from the person who owns the photo to be able to use the image. Model releases are very much needed certainly when an image which is known to a person of any age is used in advertising. Even if anything is cut out for example the face but the person is still indentified then a model release is needed. if a photograph is taken to be edited, but is model releases, then is used for an advert the model should get a further fee from the image taken that has been used and is not originally their image.

18C task 8
i dont think i have gained any new technical skills throughout this btec course but being able to create something on photoshop and being able to upload images or work into my blog has definitley improved.
18C task 7
some of the tasks i found hard to do was making the background look more effective by making a dark background with pink coming out the middle to show the perfume and also to be able to get the perfume bottle onto the advert by putting it in photoshop and using the wond toold to inverse and copy the image, but overall i didnt find it too hard making my product.
18C task 6
I think my advert refelcts to my target audience being age 20-35 because when you look at the advert and perfume it looks more to that age group, the target audience is also women so you can tell the perfume is very feminine, but this perfume could attract the teenage age group as it is very girly and they may have that taste in perfume.
18C task 5
using photoshop and my photoshop skills has helped me create a finished advert on my perfume to look good and proffesional, i used different techniques to make the perfume look more effective and also the colours i have used as a background, the picture of the perfume is taken very clear so it is easy to see.
18C task 4
my final advert does relate to my block design because i have kept the colours used, the name and the target audience but i have changed the look of the bottle and have used different ideas as a background.
18C task 1
I think my advert meets all the
CAP codes used by the Advertising Standards Agency, this is because i have not used any uneccasary words or language in my advert, the advert can reflect on any age group, i have not used anything which will make people believe something different about the perfume.
unit 1 task 6
In this task i interviewed lots of members of staff to see what they think of a lead story for the new school magazine, i got different results but there were some ideas that were better than others.

cosmetic mood board
In my mood board most of the colour schemes are similar as they have mostly used light colours including pinks, blues and reds, all of these colours show that it is a women's perfume because they are more feminine colours, the way the advert is set out are roughly all similar as they have usually used medium close ups of the main model and a close up shot or a bigger image of the perfume bottle to show what they are selling, some of these magazines are plain due to the perfume but some have lots of things happening in the advert for example the beyonce pulse advert has electric lights going through trying to show that the perfume is powerful, these adverts are mostly similar because of the way the advert is set out and the sort of colours they are using to make it stand out and to show who the target audience is.
